PS. As nossas obras em Janeiro passado.
Last week marked the start of a new phase in our renovating process: we hired a painter! Tiago will still be painting some parts of the house himself and I've been busy getting rid of wallpaper glue in the guest room (the future nursery) — this business of ripping off wallpaper includes three extremely fun steps, who would have thought?!... —but given our present circumstances (no-one to watch Rodrigo during the weekends and a baby coming in less than three months), we've really had to hire some help.
The walls in the living and dining room are being painted a light grey and the ceilings in our bedroom, Rodrigo's bedroom and my workroom will be white. We're still waiting for a quote regarding the workroom walls but the plan is to have them all bright and white (I shan't miss the dark green wallpaper!).
Friday afternoon the living room was finally finished and I can't tell you how I felt... above all else, I guess I felt a huge sense of relief. And I'm dying to start hanging pictures, sewing up curtains and pillow covers, arranging flowers, and sharing everything on the blog. I've been feeling quite discouraged in regard to our home and it's amazing to watch it all get a move on. I'll keep you posted!
PS. Our renovations last January.
